Superintendent of Schools Robert D. Livernois, Ph.D, welcomed Governor Gretchen Whitmer to Warren Mott High School on June 3, where she hosted a Town Hall meeting to discuss roads, schools and her proposed 2020 budget.
Cromie Elementary recently represented WCS at the 34th annual Macomb Science Olympiad tournament.
WCS students were honored at the Festival of the Arts awards ceremony on May 6 at the Sterling Heights Senior Center. Students in TK through 12th grade were recognized for their two and three dimensional artwork.
Margaret Black Elementary School recently hosted a multicultural fair. Students had the opportunity to observe cultural presentations, sample various cultural cuisine, enjoy entertainment, plus much more.
The required Annual Education Reports are available for public viewing. Additionally, hard copies of individual school letters may be viewed in each school’s main office and a hard copy of the district letter may be viewed at the Administration Building.
The 2018-2019 WCS Writing Celebration honored student authors from each building and grade level. One student from each school was selected to have their writing piece showcased, and turned into a digital story.

The 5th grade students at Holden Elementary recently completed a 10 week SMART Moves program sponsored by the Sterling Heights Police Department.
The WCS Board of Education honored the winners of the American Education Week Poster Contest at the December 5th Board of Education meeting. The poster contest is sponsored by the Warren Education Association.
WCS students and staff members recently participated in the 4th Annual Macomb County Diversity Summit at the Macomb Intermediate School District.
Superintendent Dr. Robert D. Livernois recently hosted a PTO-Booster Club Sharing session where every school in the district was represented.
CPC Building Trades student-built home sells for $292,000 in Troy
Cousino High School celebrated Military Night with its football community on September 21. Local veterans were honored by the football team during the game.

We love the dedication of our PTO & Booster Clubs! As a way of showing the district's appreciation, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert D. Livernois hosted the annual PTO/Booster Club Welcome Back BBQ.
WCS students had the opportunity to "Explore X-Citing Professional Options" at the Career Prep Center Middle School Summer Camp this week. The camp was designed for middle school students to explore classes offered at CPC.
